1. What inspired you to write your book and how did the idea come to life?
At sixty-eight, I felt a persistent pull to look back on my life. It wasn’t simple reflection or nostalgia—something deeper urged me to understand how and why my journey had unfolded as it did. That feeling stayed with me until I completed a detailed journal of my life, and only then did I feel compelled to share my observations and conclusions with my family and close friends.
While writing my first book—which focused on our individual journeys and the relationship between the body, consciousness, and the soul or life-energy within us—I found my thinking beginning to expand. I started to look beyond the personal and consider humanity as a whole. If each of us has some measure of control over our personal destiny, what shapes the collective destiny of our species? Does humanity itself have a purpose? And what forces influence that purpose?
I have become convinced that there is a symbiotic relationship between our physical form, the life-energy that animates us, and the consciousness that binds the two together. That relationship not only shapes our individual lives, but also drives the broader destiny of humanity.
2. Can you share your initial goals for publishing your book?
I hope others may experience the awakening, healing, and transformation I’ve found. Every inner journey is solitary; no one can walk another’s path or force their evolution. Yet we can still serve as beacons—revealing possibilities, warning of danger, and gently lighting the way.
3. What made you choose Gatekeeper Press as your publishing partner? How did the experience meet or exceed your expectations?
My life did not prepare me to be a philosopher or a writer, so when I decided to share my thoughts, I needed guidance and a straightforward process. Gatekeeper Press made it easy for someone like me, with no experience, to pass on a legacy—not of material wealth, but of the ideas and stories within me. Their team of professionals exceeded my expectations, patiently guiding me through each stage of the journey. The final result reflects exactly what I had hoped for, even though I never knew how to create it myself.
4. How would you describe the process of working with Gatekeeper Press, from manuscript submission to publication?
I have to give credit not only to the experts who helped create these pages, but also to the Author Manager. Trinity guided me through the entire process and made sure I understood every step along the way. The experts helped me structure the book, refine the grammar and punctuation, and bring my vision to life by ensuring the cover perfectly captured what I had imagined.
5. What challenges did you encounter during your publishing journey, and how did Gatekeeper press assist in overcoming them?
I didn’t encounter any challenges. Trinity guided me through the process step by step and explained everything clearly.
6. Were there any aspects of the publishing process that surprised you or differed from what you initially expected?
Although I didn’t think I needed help at first, I realized I did. After reading my manuscript so many times, I had overlooked obvious mistakes. Having a professional review it was incredibly helpful.
7. How do you hope readers will receive your book, and what do you hope readers will retain from it?
I hope my writings help others see clearly, forgive themselves, think independently, and act with compassion. Life is a struggle, and negativity is constant—but we can choose to nurture light rather than feed darkness. Humanity carries great responsibility, and we must strive to leave the world better than we found it.
8. What was your favorite part of the publishing experience with Gatekeeper Press?
ach party of the process was helpful. I learned a lot.
9. Would you recommend Gatekeeper Press to other authors? Why or why not?
I highly recommend Gatekeeper Press, especially for those who want or need support in bringing their thoughts and feelings to life.
10. What advice would you give to aspiring authors considering self-publishing their work?
I felt driven to create my manuscripts, and talking with the sales team at Gatekeeper Press convinced me to move forward with publishing them. Looking back, I’m so glad I did.
Don’t be afraid to step out and express yourself through writing — it’s a part of your legacy. Just like in life, there’s always someone available and willing to help.
I am now completing my third book.
