Launch your author brand with a professionally built website—designed to showcase your books and grow your audience.

  1. What’s included?
    • Author website with up to five customized pages.
    • eCommerce & order fulfillment with sales tracking. 
    • One year of secure hosting, maintenance, and domain registration.
    • One custom email address (e.g., [email protected]).
    • One-on-one setup with a dedicated web designer.
    • Unlimited collaboration until site style/theme is approved.
    • Up to 3 rounds of content revisions after design approval.
    • Admin access to make simple updates as needed. 
    • Note: Your author website will highlight you and your books. We do not build or manage pages for unrelated businesses or products.
  2. How is this different from building a site on my own?
    We handle all the setup, design, and fulfillment, including direct book sales, secure hosting, updates, and maintenance. Plus, if you’re a Gatekeeper author, all of your publishing and marketing assets are already in-house, making the process seamless, efficient, and fully integrated.
  3. How does the process work?
    Once your book cover is finalized, we send you a brief intake form. Your dedicated web designer then reaches out and designs your site—starting with the home page and overall theme. We work with you on the style/theme until approval and allow up to 3 rounds of content revisions thereafter.
    If you’ve signed up for other marketing services (e.g. Amazon Bestseller Campaign, Book Video Trailer, Digital/Print Asset, Press Release, etc.) our team will coordinate internally to ensure your site showcases all relevant accolades and assets.
  4. What counts as a content revision?
    A revision includes changes to page text, image swaps or additions, and other content edits submitted together in one consolidated request. Additional revisions beyond the three included rounds are billed at $100 per round. You will be able to make unlimited edits to text and have the ability to replace or remove images directly at no cost through your admin login.
  5. How long does it take?
    We build your site while working on your book, and it typically takes only 2-4 weeks to complete once we’ve received your approval of your cover design.
  6. Are there monthly or annual fees?
    After the first year, hosting is $29/month, billed annually, which is less than $0.96 a day. Includes secure hosting, maintenance, and your custom domain.
  7. What if I want more than five pages and one email address?
    Five pages and one email address are included. Additional pages are $500 per page and additional email addresses are $10 per month, billed annually.
  8. How are earnings calculated when I sell books through my website?
    When a customer buys your book through your website, we route the order to our third-party printing partner who handles production and shipping. To cover this end-to-end fulfillment, the earnings you receive are calculated as follows:

                 Retail price
                    − $1 Gatekeeper fulfillment fee
                    − $3.50 printer handling fee
                    − Actual printing cost of the book
                    = Your net earnings 

All sales are reflected in your Author Dashboard, and payouts are made just like any other retail sale.
