I just completed my book publishing and marketing with Gatekeeper Press. They were wonderful. I am not very tech savoy and they were very patient with me. Never was I left without help and guidance. I don’t know if I will ever write another book, but if I do, Gatekeeper Press will be my go to publisher.
Gatekeeper Press was very instrumental in making my publishing journey as smooth as butter! Words cannot express the level of professionalism, genuineness, and dedication of THE best author manager, “L. Wonderful to work with – they are professional in every way and stay with you during the entire publishing process. During spots where changes needed to be made, they were right there helping me along and the program they use to keep everyone on the same page is fantastic. I highly recommend Gatekeeper Press.
Thank you EVER SO MUCH Gatekeeper Press team for making my fourth experience yet another SUCCESS!! Stunning cover design, impeccable formatting of the manuscript, great recommendations on meta-data optimization and always 100% AMAZING partnership with my author manager Trinity!
With gratitude to the Gatekeeper Press Team!
My other three two books – “The Delicate Affair of Colonel Baquiste” and “The Sexy Seven Supernaturals” and “Shakti of the Illuminated Lotus” are all on retail sites.
Aside from that, the cover proofs, interior proofs, editing services were top notch. This was an excellent choice for me.

I have been inspired since my childhood by many of the persons in my numerous villages. My villages were very self-sufficient in many ways during some very segregated times. There were usually persons that had skills and professions I admired and I could count on getting inspiration and words of wisdom from them. I wanted to document some of those experiences and the words of wisdom they often shared. The first poem that I wrote with the intention of keeping and sharing was the poem I wrote for my high school graduation.

When I began my spiritual journey to overcome many hard obstacles I began to sing for Deepak Chopra and participate in many of his seminars. I found that spiritual ideas could turn obstacles into tools for a happier life. I thought how wonderful it would be to learn these tools at a young age to help you throughout your life. Since singing and music are my forte, first I wrote catchy life lesson songs, so they are easy to remember. Then I wanted to give an example situation to explain each life lesson. I also have always had a strong desire to show how all of us and our seemingly different cultures are in essence all the same.

I have slowly come to realize that there have been very few autobiographical accounts of the life that Army brats led during WWII. Several good accounts have been published on Army brat childhoods that included the post-war era, but very little is recorded from the pre-war era and the entrance into early WWII. As Army brats, we believed that we also served our nation, that we had a duty to do so, and consequently we led a highly purpose-driven life. I have a deep gratitude for the ways the Army folded us Brats into the Army world, and wrote this book to describe that world to the future.

I had put my thoughts into words by writing poetry over the last few years. I wanted these poems (my thoughts) to now have a permanence and make them accesible to everyone, not just a handful of my friends and family.
